Your HVAC price book starts with a clean spreadsheet.
Open this CSV in Excel or Google Sheets. Replace the two fictional example rows with your equipment, supplier costs and labor hours, then import it into HVACPrice when you are ready.
| Column | What to enter |
|---|---|
| category | FURNACE, AIR_CONDITIONER, HEAT_PUMP, BOILER, DUCTWORK, THERMOSTAT, AIR_HANDLER, MINI_SPLIT or OTHER |
| brand / model_number | Manufacturer and exact model, or your consistent service-item identifiers |
| material_cost | Your positive material cost, without currency symbols |
| labor_hours | Positive total technician-hours for the job |
| capacity / efficiency / description | Optional identification details checked against supplier documentation |
Three steps before your first import
- Replace or delete every DEMO row. Sample prices and hours are illustrative, with no manufacturer or market verification.
- Keep the headings unchanged. Save as CSV and preserve model numbers as text so spreadsheet software does not remove leading zeros.
- Review the import preview and check three common jobs against your own costs before sending an estimate.
This file stores costs and hours; it does not contain spreadsheet pricing formulas. HVACPrice applies your configured pricing rules after import.
