Catalog identity
Use one row for each model or defined service item. Confirm category, brand, model number, and capacity distinguish it from similar entries.

Duplicate entries
Search for repeated model numbers and near-matches caused by spacing, dashes, abbreviated brands, or inconsistent categories. Choose one approved entry before deleting anything.
Check 3
Cost basis
Mark items with a missing, zero, retail, or uncertain material cost. Compare high-volume items with your own recent supplier invoice or purchase record.

Labor assumptions
Check that every priced item has labor hours for its defined scope. Count total crew hours, then compare a few entries with completed jobs.

Scope and exclusions
Make standard installation work visible. Flag access work, electrical upgrades, permits, duct changes, disposal, or materials that need a separate line or a clear exclusion.

Customer test
Look up three common jobs from a phone and build a fictional estimate. Confirm that description, quantity, subtotal, tax treatment, total, email, and PDF match the intended scope.
