HVACPrice vs. Jobber: price book and quote comparison
Compare HVACPrice’s focused HVAC catalog and estimate workflow with Jobber’s broader home-service scheduling, quoting, invoicing and payments platform.
By HVACPrice ·
The practical difference
HVACPrice is built around a private HVAC equipment catalog: brand, model, capacity, cost, labor hours, markup, seasonal rules, and a customer-ready estimate. The workflow begins with a reviewed price book, then supports lookup and estimate delivery from a phone.
Jobber is a broader home-service platform. Its public product information covers lead management, scheduling, routing, quotes, jobs, invoices, payments, automation, and integrations for a range of service trades. Quotes can move into jobs, scheduling, and invoicing within the same system.
When HVACPrice is the better fit
Choose HVACPrice if your priority is an HVAC-specific quoting workflow without introducing a full customer-management and operations platform. It gives the owner a clear review step for equipment costs, labor, and markup before technicians send estimates.
It can also fit a small team that wants a shared mobile price book at a published company price. Starter is $89/month for up to 10 seats and Growth is $149/month for up to 25 seats. Your company imports or creates its own catalog; HVACPrice does not supply live distributor cost or stock data.
When Jobber is the better fit
Choose Jobber if you need leads, client records, scheduling, routing, job conversion, invoicing, payment collection, or its marketplace integrations alongside quotes. Those workflows are outside HVACPrice’s scope.
Jobber may also be the better starting point for a solo operator or a business that needs an all-purpose home-service system. Its pricing varies by plan, team size, commitment, and included features, so compare the current official plan for your actual number of users and workflow needs.
Pricing and setup trade-off
Jobber publicly lists multiple plans and billing options, including a lower entry price for a single user and higher plans for larger teams and additional workflow features. HVACPrice is not universally cheaper: a solo business may find a lower Jobber entry plan, while a team focused on pricebook lookup may prefer HVACPrice’s 10-seat Starter plan.
Compare total cost only after selecting the required seats, billing commitment, payments, integrations, and operational features. Do not compare a basic single-user plan with a multi-user workflow as if they solve the same problem.
Important limits to compare
HVACPrice does not replace Jobber’s client management, online booking, schedule, routing, job conversion, invoicing, payment collection, or integration marketplace. It does not synchronize its catalog or estimates with Jobber.
Jobber is trade-general; HVACPrice focuses its catalog fields and setup guidance on HVAC equipment and labor assumptions. The better choice depends on whether an HVAC price book or a broader operating system is the job to solve first.
