HVACPrice vs. ServiceTitan: price book and estimating comparison

Compare a focused HVAC price-book and estimating workflow with ServiceTitan’s broader field-service management platform.

By HVACPrice ·

The practical difference

HVACPrice is a focused tool for a company-owned HVAC equipment catalog, modeled labor and markup, phone-based lookup, and customer estimates with email/PDF delivery. It is designed for a contractor who wants a clear price book and quoting workflow without adopting a full field-service management system.

ServiceTitan is a broader platform. Its published product information includes dispatching, scheduling, call booking, invoicing, pricebook, mobile estimates, payroll, reporting, marketing, and other operating workflows. That breadth can be valuable for a business replacing or standardizing many systems at once.

When HVACPrice is the better fit

Choose HVACPrice when your immediate problem is turning your own equipment costs and labor assumptions into consistent estimates that technicians can use from a phone. Starter includes up to 10 seats for $89/month and Growth includes up to 25 seats for $149/month. Owners review starter examples or import their own CSV before estimates can be sent.

HVACPrice is also a better fit when you want to keep the implementation narrow: define your company catalog, confirm pricing, send a test estimate, and invite technicians. It does not require a dispatch board, call-center workflow, payroll setup, or a large software rollout before the team can quote.

When ServiceTitan is the better fit

Choose ServiceTitan if you need one connected platform for dispatch, scheduling, customer and job records, invoicing, payments, reporting, broader operations, or its supplier-catalog and dynamic-pricing workflows. Its estimates connect to those downstream workflows, which matters when the office needs an end-to-end operating system.

A company already running ServiceTitan should usually improve its existing pricebook process before adding a separate estimating system. HVACPrice does not sync pricebooks, customers, jobs, invoices, payments, or supplier catalogs with ServiceTitan.

Pricing and setup trade-off

HVACPrice publishes two monthly plans: $89 for Starter and $149 for Growth. ServiceTitan states that its pricing is per technician and asks prospective customers to request pricing for a plan. Compare the current proposal, included modules, user requirements, onboarding, and contract terms directly with ServiceTitan before deciding.

Price alone is not the decision. A business that needs the larger platform’s operating features may receive more value from ServiceTitan. A business that needs only a private HVAC catalog and a simple estimate workflow may prefer HVACPrice’s smaller scope and published price.

Important limits to compare

HVACPrice does not provide dispatching, scheduling, invoice collection, customer relationship management, payroll, advanced reporting, installed-equipment history, supplier-catalog synchronization, or offline pricebook data. It also does not claim live supplier pricing or inventory availability.

Both products still require an owner to review costs, labor assumptions, scope, tax treatment, and the final estimate. No software should turn unreviewed catalog data into a customer promise.
