HVACPrice vs. Service Fusion: price book and estimating comparison
Compare HVACPrice’s focused HVAC catalog and estimate workflow with Service Fusion’s all-in-one field-service platform.
By HVACPrice ·
The practical difference
HVACPrice is for maintaining a company-owned HVAC catalog, applying an owner’s labor and markup assumptions, finding equipment on a phone, and sending a focused customer estimate. It does not attempt to run every operational workflow around the quote.
Service Fusion is a broader field-service management platform. Its published Starter plan includes customer management, estimates and jobs, scheduling and dispatching, payments, QuickBooks integration, invoicing, project management, reporting, and text alerts. Its Flat Rate integration powered by Profit Rhino adds a larger repair-pricing catalog.
When HVACPrice is the better fit
Choose HVACPrice when your business needs an HVAC-specific price-book and estimate workflow without introducing a complete customer, job, scheduling, billing, and dispatch system. It is set up around your own equipment models, costs, labor hours, scope, and markup.
Its published monthly company plans are $89 for Starter, with up to 10 seats, and $149 for Growth, with up to 25 seats. Your team can import a CSV or add equipment manually, then review the resulting catalog before it is used in a real customer estimate.
When Service Fusion is the better fit
Choose Service Fusion if your team needs customer records, jobs, dispatch, scheduling, invoices, payment processing, reporting, QuickBooks, or an all-in-one platform shared across the office and field. Its pricing page lists unlimited users on each plan, which can be useful for a growing team that needs broad access.
Service Fusion can also be the better fit when a ready-made repair flat-rate catalog is central to your workflow. HVACPrice begins with owner-reviewed starter examples and company data; it does not include Service Fusion’s integrated Profit Rhino repair catalog or synchronize with it.
Pricing and setup trade-off
HVACPrice is $89/month for Starter and $149/month for Growth. Service Fusion currently lists annual-billing plans from $208 to $533 per month, with month-to-month prices from $245 to $627, and says every plan includes unlimited users. Confirm current plan contents, annual-payment terms, add-ons, payment-processing fees, and onboarding directly with Service Fusion before deciding.
The broader subscription can make sense if it replaces the systems that run your work. A contractor who only needs a private HVAC catalog and straightforward field estimates may prefer HVACPrice’s smaller scope and lower published company price.
Important limits to compare
HVACPrice does not provide Service Fusion’s customer management, jobs, calendar, dispatching, invoicing, payment collection, QuickBooks integration, project management, reporting, text alerts, inventory management, or GPS fleet tracking. It does not sync customer, job, payment, or catalog data with Service Fusion.
Neither a default catalog nor an import replaces owner review. Confirm the actual equipment, cost basis, labor assumption, scope, tax treatment, and final estimate before sending it to a customer.
